This time, the narrative follows ACP Arjun Dev, a brilliant yet emotionally scarred officer transferred to the Tamil Nadu division of HIT after a personal tragedy threatens to derail his career. Known for his sharp instincts and unconventional methods, Arjun is brought in to investigate the mysterious case of a young journalist who vanishes while pursuing a politically sensitive lead. But what seems like a routine missing person's case quickly spirals into a sinister puzzle involving high-profile corruption, secret cults, and a decades-old revenge plot.
As Arjun digs deeper, he must confront not only a ruthless and calculating killer who always seems one step ahead but also the ghosts of his own past. Every clue leads him into darker alleys of betrayal, where nothing is as it seems and trust is a dangerous illusion. HIT 3: The Third Case – Full Story Summary
The third installment in the HIT franchise takes a dark and gripping turn as it follows SP Arjun Sarkaar, a brilliant yet controversial officer currently behind bars for reasons initially unknown. While in prison, he narrowly escapes an attack by inmates he once arrested, thanks to the intervention of a fellow prisoner named Samuel Joseph. What unfolds next is a tale of justice, deception, and sacrifice, as Arjun recounts his shocking past through a series of flashbacks.
Following the events of HIT: The Second Case, Arjun is reassigned to the HIT division in Visakhapatnam. Beneath his disciplined exterior lies a disturbing truth — Arjun has taken the law into his own hands. He is responsible for the brutal murders of two men, both killed in a ritualistic manner, with their organs missing from the crime scene. Shockingly, Arjun is appointed to investigate the very same murders he committed.
As the story develops, it’s revealed that Arjun’s victims were child predators, and his vigilantism stems from a deeper mission. His colleague, ASP Varsha, becomes suspicious and begins monitoring him, eventually catching him in the act. Arjun, rather than denying his crimes, shares his disturbing motive — to dismantle a secretive dark web cult known as CTK (Capture, Torture, Kill).
Years earlier, while working a case in Jammu and Kashmir, Arjun encountered a killer whose methods matched CTK’s gruesome pattern. He learned that CTK recruits its members by requiring them to record and upload two brutal murders. To infiltrate the group and destroy it from within, Arjun faked a moral breakdown, committed the two murders, and gained access to their inner circle.

As part of his mission, Arjun tracks a CTK operative to Jaipur, barely survives a violent confrontation, and is ultimately welcomed by the group’s mysterious leader, Alpha. The next phase of their operations leads them to a hidden base in Arunachal Pradesh. Arjun, with official backing from DGP Nageswara Rao, puts together a task force including Varsha — and unexpectedly, his love interest Mrudula, who turns out to be an undercover cop reporting to Rao. Though hurt by her deception, Arjun learns that Mrudula admired him for his past heroics and became an officer because of him, rekindling their bond.
In Naharlagun, the team tries to track CTK’s headquarters, while Arjun embeds himself deeper within the cult. Inside a decaying Burmese palace turned torture camp, he endures a brutal trial by combat to prove his loyalty. Despite the horrors around him, Arjun secretly signals his team using a transmitter attached to his pet vulture, managing to reveal the location.
As the cult prepares for another sacrifice — a child — Arjun breaks cover and starts rescuing the hostages. A violent showdown ensues. His team, along with reinforcements from Hyderabad HIT, arrive just in time. Arjun confronts Alpha in a climactic battle, revealing Alpha's connection to a previous CTK killer and finally putting an end to the cult’s twisted reign.
The investigation exposes the horrifying truth behind CTK: their victims’ glands were harvested while they were in a state of terror and used to manufacture an illegal performance-enhancing drug, distributed through international pharmaceutical channels.
In the final twist, Arjun reveals that his imprisonment was intentional. Samuel Joseph — the man he befriended in jail — is the mastermind behind the entire CTK operation. Arjun kills Joseph, bringing his mission full circle.
The film closes with a tribute to ACP Dhanya Mohan, an undercover officer who sacrificed her life to save a child during the CTK raid. Arjun honors her bravery as the true hero of the case.
A mid-credits scene hints at the next chapter — HIT: The Fourth Case — introducing ACP Veerappan in Chennai, who stumbles upon a chilling new mystery at a checkpoint.
HIT: The Third Case (or simply HIT 3)[a] is a 2025 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film[4][5] written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Produced by Prashanti Tipirneni under Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, the film stars Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles. The film has music composed by Mickey J. Meyer, cinematography handled by Sanu John Varghese and editing by Karthika Srinivas.
